Last Saturday I was delighted to host a Crafternoon tea party for Inspiring Derby. The event was to support the creative workshops in our gorgeous museums in our lovely city.
I was hosting the party in a beautiful old Georgian house just on the out skirts. I bought my pop up afternoon tea and vintage china to the party. We had dainty scones with clotted cream and jams served with lots of Afternoon tea in pretty china cups.
The crafters made corsages and textile accessories inspired by the museum and the fabrics from the Georgian era. We used soft pastel silks, jacquard patterned fabrics and pretty lace.
I really enjoyed the party, the setting was perfect and the crafters were fun to work with. Here is one lovely ladies final piece.
Back soon with more Crafternoon adventures!
